Iranian ‘The Statue’ wins at 2022 Khamrubu fest

Iranian animation ‘The Statue’ has grabbed Critics Award at the second edition of the Khamrubu International Film Festival in India.

‘The Statue’, directed by Mohsen Salehi Fard, is about a sculptor who has difficulty with making his statues.

The animation has previously participated in several international film festivals, including the Chania Film Festival in Greece, the Gbeck Future Film Festival in Canada, and the Earl’s Court International Film Festival in the UK.

According to the official website of the Indian festival, the Khomrubu International Film Festival is "a platform where filmmakers have the opportunity to showcase their works and present their creativity to the audience."

The latest edition of the event was held on February 26-27, 2022.
